Pride in our community

At Kingsbury Green Academy, we place a great emphasis on pride in our community.

A visible indication of this is in the standard of students’ uniform. We feel that a uniform instils a sense of shared identity, team spirit and support for the ethos of the school.

Uniform goes even further than this, and allows students to be treated as equals, promoting cohesion and unity.

Guidelines

To ensure that students adhere to the school policy on school uniform, we have issued the following guidelines.

All students must wear Kingsbury Green Academy uniform purchased from www.uniform-direct.com.

The main school uniform consists of:

Kingsbury Green Academy blazer
Kingsbury Green Academy tie
Black tights with skirt when tights are worn
Black polishable shoes
Kingsbury Green Academy jumper (optional)

Unacceptable

The following are not accepted as uniform:-

Any alternative trousers from different uniform suppliers
Altered skirts. The school policy is for skirts to be just above knee length
Canvas footwear and trainers. Footwear that goes over and above the ankles, i.e. boots/basketball/converse type. Black trainers are not acceptable
Non-uniform sweaters & cardigans
Outer garments that can be classed as ‘hoodies’. Hoodies are not allowed to be worn during the school day
Excessive jewellery or make-up and extreme hairstyle & hair colours
Facial piercings and clear retainers are not acceptable.

Sports & Other

PE kit must also be purchased from www.uniform-direct.com and consists of:

Round neck Kingsbury Green Academy sports top
Kingsbury Green Academy branded shorts / skirt / track bottoms / leggings
Sports Science students should also purchase personalised polo shirts directly from the school

Should a student be found to have the incorrect uniform, it may be that he /she will be confined to the Pastoral Hub whilst parents/carers are contacted.
