SEND
Realising Potential
The aim of the support department is for each pupil to realise his or her potential within an enriched, inclusive community.
The SENCO, Mrs Johnson along with the support team are responsible for the day to day implementation of the SEND policy.
We will coordinate the extra support and provision for pupils with a range of specialist needs.
We work closely with teaching staff to ensure that they have access to personalised strategies and can build their knowledge of SEND to enable those with specific needs to flourish, alongside their peers.
Working With Parents
An integral part of our department is working with parents and outside agencies.
We thrive on building and sustaining a positive working relationship with parents of pupils with SEND as this is known to enable them to achieve academic success.
We warmly welcome parental involvement throughout their child’s time at school.
If you would like to know more about the support that your child will receive as a Kingsbury Green Academy student, please contact Mrs Johnson, SENCO ejohnson@kga.ascendlearningtrust.org.uk
